The Second Generation Ipod Photo Video
Apple’s done did it again? They went from first, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, up to the sixth generation in designing Ipods and the company is still moving. What will they think of next? The fact is some of the older Ipod photo videos appeared to have more to offer than the newer versions. Still, technology is advancing so what can we expect.
The older Apple Ipod Photos featured many handy items that enabled you to listen to music, watch videos, and load up data and more on its hard drive. Some of the older Ipods included dual ninety Megahertz (MHz) ARMS with a 7TDMI Processor. The devices worked off a single chip and offered 32 Megabytes (MB) or DRAM. You could also get 5.0 Gigs (GB), 10, OR 20 Gigabyte Hard Drives. The ten bytes did not come available until the end of March in 2002.
Some of the older Ipod Photos offered a high-output amplifier, which equalized up to 60-mW. You had what the systems offer today, and that is a FireWire. The headphone jacks were standard and the LCD displayer was backlit in a 2-inch white format.
One version of Apple’s Ipods were introduced in October 2001 and it was discontinued in 2003. The processors were ARMS and the speed measured out to 90 Megahertz. You had a ROM size of about 2 Megabytes or 32 rather, and DRAM was built-in to the systems. VRAM was also built-in to the systems. The standard Random Access Memory (RAM) was around 32 MB, and the maximum RAM was around 32.
The motherboard provided the user 32 Megabytes, while the RAM had no slots available. You received a standard 5, 10, or 20 Gigabyte Hard Drive, and an ATA-5 built into the drive. The form factors were Ipod 7, and the casing was a handheld. The batteries were designed of Lithium Polymer and would last up to 10 hours max. The fifth generation Ipods seem to last the longest. You also received a built-in display at 160×128 B&W as well as support for OS with Pixel OS 2.1 or zero. The dimensions were 4.02 x 2.43 and the average weight of the device was around six and half ounces. The original price of these Ipods was steep yet the prices dropped dramatically as the newer versions came into focus.

The devices were compatible with Mac OSX v. 10.1 and Mac OS 9.2.1 both in later versions as well. You received with the package a remote wired control, headphones, case, and clip belt. The products would most often include a FIREWIRE Interface, which transferred digital formats, as well as a port. You received an audio book, up to date calendars and schedulers with built-in clocks and alarms on some of the devices.
Some of the older versions would store more than 7000 tunes, around 20,000 pictures, and offered over seventy-five hours of playback on both video and sounds. You could watch slideshows, listen to music, or play them back at leisure.
Comparing the older version to the newer version, we see that one copy of Nano’s only enables the user to store around 1000 hits. The version only has 4 Gigabytes, yet it is compatible to more than the older versions, yet still remarkably similar. I think what is going on here is a fad. The older versions died out and the prices dropped so newer versions had to come into focus so that the companies could make profit. Oh well, so much for dying and growing fads.
