IPod Video in the Earlier Days

In the earlier days iPod videoing was a fun activity, yet the older iPods didn’t impress as many as the newer versions have done over the last year. Nowadays, everyone and his brother are buying an iPod to download videos. What can we say about the earlier iPods? The earlier iPods were devices with fewer features than what the later versions include. Still, the earlier iPods offered something to the users. While downloading music, videos and so forth however, it burns up a lot of memory, which unfortunately the earlier versions didn’t have much to offer.

Even with a 60 GB iPod out there in the market, it’s not enough to store all that you may want to. However, while you may convert your videos and movies to a format that eats up a much lesser volume of your iPod’s memory, it can badly degrade the image quality. So the question is what to do in such a case?

Well this can be sorted out if you understand the pros and cons of choosing a certain video format that you may be using. Here we will be discussing the same to enable you to make the smartest choice before you decide to convert all of your videos for iPod viewing.

Why does all this matter:

Well it’s not really difficult to convert your favorite movies and videos to iPod-ready format, but at the same time this process can be painstakingly time consuming and depending upon the settings that you might have chosen, it could take up to half a day or even longer to convert a two hour video into an iPod -ready format. Now imagine doing this process repeatedly. The amount of time that has to be spent doing this can be reduced to an extent by choosing the right format for your video files.

The ideals of saving memory are downloading a smaller selection of videos, songs, or games. Once you have your hits download them to DVD or CD before downloading additional sounds, videos, and so forth.

One of the best deals about the newer versions of iPods is that the features are easier to use, while the older versions were a bit more complex. The iPods were designed so that you could carry your music with you, but nowadays you can download data, music, videos, movies, or games and take it anywhere you go.

Some of the iPods today have features including iPod + iTunes, .Mac, Download, iTunes overviews, launch music stores, videos, iPod shuffle, iPod nano, iPod, Mac OS X, Quick Time, and so forth. Once you connect the adaptor, you will automatically be connected to iTunes where you can start downloading music and more.

I’ve just downloaded iTunes myself to help you understand how the process works. It seems that iTunes has a Library where videos are stored. The features include Podcasts, videos, party shuffle, radio, music store, 90′s music, my top rated, recently added, recently played and top 25 most played. ITunes also has a menu at the top of the screen where you can select options. Anyway, iTunes is what you will connect to while downloading videos from your iPod. You can also listen to the songs before downloading the hits to your computer, iPod, or DVD/CD. This is an advantage since if you do not like the song you can go to the next track and listen in on the tune to see if it is something, you want to purchase. You can also perform a Search in the search bar to locate your favorite tunes.
